Hey what's up I'm Great-K8 and STOP!!!! stop reading this post!!! cuz u shouldn't use energy reading posts!!! or blogging non-stop! (hem hem, ME-ROX!) so turn off the computer and go... idk... take a walk! it's the last weekend of summer, so u should enjoy it! and if u go to the MN state fair, recycle all of ur trash that u can! don't litter! that's really bad 4 the environment! so dispose of it properly. Back To School

Hey I'm Great-K8! It's time 2 go back 2 school! Everyone's talking about it, but did you know that going back 2 school is the perfect time 2 go green? You didn't? You can buy notebooks, folders, binders, pencil cases, and much more that have been recycled! For example, my binder is made with paper containing 100% recycled fiber and printed with nontoxic soy-based ink! My pencil case is also recycled. It might cost a little more money, but hey, it helps the economy and the earth! When you think about it that way, it's worth it 2 spend a couple more bucks on school supplies! Well that's all the time I have for now but i'll try to post l8r 2day so bye 4 now! Keep going green!

Wow

Hi everyone I'm Great-K8 and wow... no ones posted in a longgggggg time. Me-Rox is going on a huge almost month long trip, so she has an excuse, and Pebbles hasn't posted on her own blog in 5 weeks, so... Well then today I will have to post enough for the three of us. The first post is almost done! Well today you are going to get so many going green tips you won't know which one to do first. You should start by turning off the computer. After this post is done. And turn off the tv, if you have it on. I mean, who really needs two forms of entertainment? OH! Btw (by the way), after all of these posts, I will do a completion post (for just today) summing up all of the going green tips that I've taught you today. So bye for now!!! Keep going green!!!

Saving the Earth

Hey what's up I am Great-K8! I haven't posted in a long time, but I've been really busy saving the Earth! For example, at school we had to clean out our cubbies. I personally made sure that every piece of paper ended up in the recycling, not the trash. I also spend more time outside, especially now that it's nice. Not so nice this weekend, but... Well that's all the time I have so bye! Keep going green!

Belated Earth Day

Hi everyone, I'm Great-K8. Okaaaayyyy... so I was the only person who posted on Earth Day. I saved it as a draft on Tuesday, so it'll say that's when I posted it. I reminded Me-Rox about it, but I didn't have a chance to remind Pebbles, but it's Earth Day!!! Or, well, it was. But anyways, here is my Earth Day post: I'm going to tell you how many results you will get if you search for some words: Going Green has 52,000,000 results; Recycle has 30,200,000 results; Three R's has 466,000,000 results; Earth Day has 56,700,000 results; Do Your Part has 220,000,000 results; Our Only Earth has 81,500,000 results; and so on. So even though Earth Day is over, keep Going Green!!! I mean, why do we even have Earth Day? You should do this kind of think every day!!! Yeah, Earth Day is great, but if you're really commited to Going Green, then you won't care what day it is! So I guess that's all I have to say about Earth Day. So bye! Turn off the computer now!!! Hi everyone, I'm Great-K8. I'm leaving today with my school to go to a camp. Today is alos Earth Day! So turn off your lights, recycle, pick up litter, do all the things that you should normaly do, just do them extra. I'm leaving at 8:00, so I don't have a lot of time to post. Easter Green Tips

Hi everyone, I'm Great-K8! I've been posting the most out of the three of us. But today, I have some Easter Going Green Tips! If you don't celebrate Easter, then these tips are every day tips. Here they are: If you have cups, A) Don't use styrofoam cups, and B) Only give each person 1 cup; Only take as much food as you are going to eat; If you have leftover food, don't throw it away! Eat it later!; Dont use styrofoam plate, cups or silverare or anything! Now, those aren't the only tips. You could spend time outside! That is, you could spend time outside if it's warm enough. I think it is. Unless you're in somewhere where it's really cold. But I shouldn't keep going on about this, because the longer it takes you to read this, the longer you'll be on the computer and the more energy you'll waste!!! Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

Hey Peoples And Persons! It's Me-Rox! I know you probably don't want to hear just a bunch of definitions, but that's what you need to understand the blog and the purposes. (Maybe.)

I bet that you have all heard of the saying "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle". And we all know about doing all of that. But how do we Reuse and Reduce?

Reuse - If you grow out of a sweater or a t-shirt, don't just throw it away, give it to a younger relative as a hand-me-down or donate it to a homeless shelter or a thrift store. Clothing is made from plants. And those plants probably don't intend their clothing to be used for a year or so. And we can't be expected to use our clothing longer than that -- we can't help growing.

Reduce - If you really think about it, it's simple. We use the word all the time, we just aren't familiar with it in the phrase. What people mean when they use it is that you shouldn't use too much of things. Like if you keep the water running while you're brushing you're teeth, you should probably turn it off. Or if you keep the lights on in your house when they don't need to be on.

Okay I promise, no more definitions from now on.... Unless they're necessary! Which they hopefully won't be.

Hey peoples and persons! It's Me-Rox! Sorry I just have to keep the tradition and keep starting my posts that way. It's what I do. So this is my very first post on the Do Your Part Blog!

What does Do Your Part mean?

do - verb, to perform an action.

your - possesive adjective, belonging to associate with any person in general.

part - noun, a piece or segment of something such as an activity.


green - adjective, the color made from green and yellow or a term for earth friendly.

Well, now you pretty much know what I mean, word-wise at least. But what part are we really referring to?

The answer is your part on this Earth. No one has really discovered the meaning of life or if there even is one. But in order to figure out, life must still exist. And the only known way of keeping our lives in existence is keeping our planet in tip-top shape. So we can't pollute the oceans or mindlessly kill animals and plants or most of all waste.

waste - verb, use or expend carelessly, extravagantly, or to no purpose.

What can we not waste? Food! Clothing! Homes! Money! Paper! Anything that other people or animals or plants need to survive! So at this blog you will learn how to Do Your Part, Go Green, and Not Waste! And while your here don't waste to much energy reading blogs and E-mailing your friends. Go out and do something worthy of the planet!

Hey what's up I am Great-K8! I am the second person to post on this blog. As Pebbles said, I don't have my own blog. I'm excited to finally be posting on my blog!!! Well, I guess our blog. So here are my Going Green tips: Turn off the water when you're brushing your teeth; don't use plastic water bottles, use stainless steel water bottles; and most importantly,RECYCLE!!!
